Do you want to play competitive rugby?
Old Alleynians is a great place to enjoy your rugby in South London! We have
a lively clubhouse and rugby ground in Dulwich (SE21) and we are
currently thriving in Surrey Division 2.
We are always looking for new players. You don't have to be a first teamer -
we have up to three rugby teams at the club - so players of all shapes, sizes
and fitness levels are welcome!
Naturally there is also a healthy emphasis on the social side of rugby at Old
Alleynians where you'll be invited to various social events, parties at the club
and our annual dinner held at the East India Club this year.
Training is on Wednesday nights at the club from 7.30pm. Browse the rest of
the site for fixtures, contacts etc. Most of all, enjoy your rugby and Join The Club!

Want to play Mini Rugby?
Old Alleynians is an excellent club to try out and improve your rugby
skills. With our roots in Dulwich College, we boast some of the nicest playing
facilities for miles around. Old Alleynians is a very friendly and supportive
club - you can be assured of a really warm welcome.
After an exceptional first two seasons, the club is going from strength to
strength this (2002-2003) season. Already, we have over 200 boys and girls
turning up for Sunday training. We play every Sunday (10:30-12:00) between the
beginning of September and the end of the season in April. Some weeks are for
simple skills training, some are "Structured Training" days, usually with other
clubs and some are fixture days - ranging from simple home or away games against
other local clubs to medium to large festivals. You can see our Diary for full details.
We are currently running 8 age groups: covering the range from Under 7 to
Under 14. (That is basically Year 1 to Year 9 in the school calendar.)
On home days, the club is open from 10am - there is usually coffee and hot
food, and the bar opens around 12:00 for thirsty Dads (and Mums!)
We have over 20 RFU qualified coaches and we are hoping to increase this
number soon. We also have fully qualified First Aiders at training sessions in
line with RFU recommendations.
Last Seasons end of season Awards were handed out by
two Old Alleynians curently playing at the top level of english rugby, former
Dulwich College "Dream Team" props, David Flatman (Saracens and England) and Jon
Dawson (Harlequins). Other Old Alleynians currently playing for senior clubs include
Andrew Sheridan (Bristol), Sam Blythe (Exeter) and Nick Lloyd (Rotherham).Take the first
step towards emulating them join the Alleynians and learn to play rugby the right
way.
