This downloadable document on producing a personal development plan maybe helpful when looking at the broad aspects of referee development rather than simply on-field technical aspects.
Rentention Criteria
The NW Federation now has in place retention criteria for member of the Development Squad as follows:

Continues to receive assessment reports that indicate the potential to progress
|
|
|
Demonstrates potential to progress to the L5 scheme
|
|
|
Has made acceptable progress toward the two criteria above within a maximum of 24 months
|
|
|
Undertakes and completes ERDA modules
|
|
|
Has maintained and improved on the required standard on the Bleep or JAM test
|
|
|
Takes a full and active part in the Development Squad programme e.g. attendance at meetings
|
|
|
Works effectively with appointed referee coaches
|
|
|
Maintains and shares a Personal Development Plan.
|
|
|
Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to Society appointments and events
|
|
These will be used to review the membership of the Squad as an when necessary.

Entry to the Squad is made by nomination from the Society to the Federation Committee. Criteria for admission have been agreed and can be downloaded by clicking here.
