Bedworth Colts 3 V Manor Park Colts 38
The Manor Park youngsters travelled the short distance to Bedworth to face their newly formed colts outfit in a curtain raiser for the home sides league fixture that afternoon.
Park found a very spirited side who competed well for most of the early exchanges and tackled well, snuffing out several of parks early attacks. Park were a little guilty of complacency and were struggling to make passes stick, their support play was slow and often late giving bedworth opportunity to get turn over ball but after an excellent passage of play, wing forward, Steven Andrews broke free to score with Callum Bishop adding the extras. The home team continued to push park and were rewarded with a well struck penalty following an infringment bringing a close to very compettive first half.

The second period saw the Manor boys assert some control with the tight five beginning to gel, the back row working well and the three quatrers looking a lot more settled, This time it was No 8 Tom Hill who found himself on the end of some fantastic interplay by the forwards to score, Bishop converting. Park were now making life uncomfortable for Bedworth and it was not long before Dan Joyce spotted the gap and dotted down for Bishop to convert once again.
The home teams fitness and inexperience was beginning to tell as Hill broke free leaving several would be tacklers in his wake to claim his second for the day, followed by Andrews getting his brace and Hill popping up the the line to get his hat-trick Bishop converting again.
The final score 38 - 3 to the visitors was a fair reflection of the domination of the second half and special mention goes to Curt Clark for a fantastic performace on his Debut.
