The 2008-09 Season ended with 2 very encouraging victories over Midhurst in a friendly and finally against Raynes Park in a very keenly contested league game.
Following the last league game of the season the awards were presented

Most Improved player - Rory Kerrigan

In establishing a colts squad (U17/U18) next season 2008/09 our objectives are to:

combine and capitalise on the depth of talent in the current U16 and U17 sides

provide a platform for players to take the next step towards senior rugby

create competition for places presenting all players with tangible objectives

take part in more frequent and competitive games (friendly and league)

set up a training program during weekday evening(s) to improve skills and fitness

expose players to a more challenging rugby environment

consolidate the depth of knowledge brought by the coaching staff

create a more beneficial and entertaining training environment

engender a spirit of unity and direction amongst both teams

create a squad that the remainder of Haslemere youth teams will aspire to

create a club within a club that will attract players from other clubs

help in the development of the young men of our club physically, mentally and emotionally

give the players the opportunity to take coaching and refereeing courses

sustain youth and ultimately senior Rugby at Haslemere Rugby Club
