Welcome, to the Home Page of Hadleigh Rugby Union Football Club and I hope you will be pleasantly surprised by the changes that are now talking place here. Both on and off the pitch we are implementing changes that are intended to ensure Hadleigh RUFC has a sustainable and long term future. We have aspirations to see our senior side return to the London League within the next five years; raise a 2nd XV that competes in the Suffolk Merit Table; develop our mini's and youths so that they can continue to enjoy rugby and ultimately play in the 1st XV; and to have our Club represented at County level in all age groups.
The new Executive Committee has implemented a 5 Year Development Plan that will address the central themes necessary to achieve our aspirations. Through the efforts of our sub committees, Members, sponsors and supporters we will focus our energy and attention to ensure rugby has a future in Hadleigh. Why don't you be a part of our success!
The Club has appointed a new Head Coach, Matt Jackson from Wattisham Military Base. Although born and bred in New Zealand and brought up on diet of Kiwi rugby, he has played rugby locally and therefore brings a wealth of local knowledge and experience to our Club.
Gav Millar has been appointed 1st XV Captain and we all look forward to his leadership skills on and off the pitch. If you are interested in playing for our 1st XV, please contact Gav on 07764 467554.
Pre-season training and fitness has already started and training will now continue throughout the season on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:30 to 21:15 on our floodlit training ground. If you are interested in joining our training sessions, please contact Matt on 07889 814737.
The Club is running a number of social events throughout the year and also during the Rugby World Cup. Why don't you come down and meet the Members, become a Member yourself by joining the Club as a Vice President, social Member or player. Go to our Social Events Calendar and see what we are doing!
