Interactive satellite view
This is produced by the Google VirtualEarth system, and will appear as a new page.
That means you can see it alongside any verbal description provided by the club.
The view is initially centred on the club's latitude and longitude, but can be manipulated in two ways:-
(1) use the control buttons in the top left of the screen; or
(2) use mouse scroll button to zoom; click and drag to change the view.
This enables you to explore the area to check your best access route.
Note that all the pictures were taken in the summer, for best lighting, which means most rugby pitches
will not be there, or at least they will be hard to see.
If the view is wrongly centred, or missing, here is how to obtain the correct latitude and longitude data,
which you should then send to the webmaster, not forgetting to include your club name, of course.
1. This site will give you the co-ordinates of the centre of the view.
2. Put the nearest town name in the box, adding "United Kingdom", otherwise it will assume you mean a place in the USA.
3. It is probably best to select "hybrid", which will combine the satellite view with road infromation.
4. Manipulate the small map as explained above to find your club's ground.
5. Copy the latitude and longitude to your email.
6. Check back later to see if I have had time to process it.
