From Bob Taylor, President of the RFU
It is a real pleasure to wish everyone involved in rugby union in Gloucestershire a successful 2007/08 season.
I know that the county is renowned for love of the game and endeavour both on and off the pitch and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who give so generously of their time to our game.
This promises to be a busy season, with the Rugby World Cup in France sure to bring another surge of interest and the biggest adult recruitment campaign launched in any sport in this country, the RFU's Go Play Rugby initiative, underway throughout the land.
We are so lucky in our volunteers whose contribution to the sport is immeasurable and I am sure that another generation of young Gloucestershire players will have the opportunity to enjoy all that the game offers thanks to the efforts of your army of volunteers.
Good luck to all the teams, the county squad and all who play at every level and age group. Thanks to all our administrators, officials and stalwarts across Gloucestershire.
Keep up the good work and most importantly enjoy the rugby
With best wishes,
