Does your club want to improve their facilities? Not sure how to go about it?
Firstly there are a few things you will need to be doing to make your club attractive to any funding provider. This includes things such as security of tenure - do you own your ground or have a long term lease? Do you have Seal of Approval or working towards this and do you have a long term club development plan. If you need help with any of these contact your Rugby Development Officer (RDO).
Themain source of funding available to clubs through the Rugby Football Union is the The Rugby Football Foundation (rff) this is available to all clubs at level 5 and below and is intended to develope facilities that contribute to the recruitment and retention of community rugby players. It has 2 elements
- Ground match scheme which is up to £5000 with a minimum of £1500 clubs must match the funding 50:50
- Interest Free Loans maximum loan available £100000
It is worth thinking of other sources of funding below are a few suggestions but this is by no means exhaustive
