Season 2011/2012 Gloucestershire Leagues
Rules to be applied to Gloucestershire Leagues (Level 8 and below)
The English Clubs Championship (ECC) regulations will apply to all Gloucestershire Leagues, with the exception of the following amendments:
Gloucestershire Premier and below (Level 8 to Level 11).
Regulation 13.5.11(c) Front Row Requirements Provided both teams start the match with the correct number of suitably trained and competent front row players as per the regulations, in the event of the match going to uncontested scrums due to injury, the offending side will not have to reduce its number down to fourteen (14) players as per the RFU Regulations.
Registration Deregulation of Gloucestershire League 3 (Level 11).
1. There will be no requirement for compulsory registration of players. Clubs are reminded however that participation in any RFU Cup Competitions does necessitate the registration of players and are therefore recommended to continue with Registration on a voluntary basis.
2. League Matches may be played with an unlimited number of unregistered players. There is no restriction on the number of foreign players.
3. It will remain necessary to complete match cards which should show the match result and should be countersigned by the Referee and Official Representatives of the participating Clubs.
4. The card need not contain details of the players participating.
5. Players registered with another club may only be used where the Club which they are registered are at the same League level or the level above (e.g. Gloucestershire 2) and play with the approval of that club.
6. Failure to comply with these simplified regulations may result in the deduction of points in the normal way.
7. The number of replacements is limited to 7 in accordance with IRB Regulations.
You are reminded that other regulations within the RFU Handbook remain unaffected.
