The Federation of Rugby Union Referees' Societies of the North
The member referees' societies of the Federation are Durham, Cumbria and Northumberland.
Since the formation of the Federation key objective were set in 1999/2000 and where review at a 'forward thinking day' in July 2004. At this day the following areas for development were identified and are five key objectives that drive the Federations currently:

To establish an efficient appointment system for all officials on the development squad.

To develop a structured approach to the formulation of a systematic needs analysis to better inform T&D events across the Federation.

To obtain a better overview of the progress of all officials throughout the Federation by more efficient use of exiting information and data.

To establish a Federation and Society calendar of events that avoids duplication, shares good practice and takes account of the geography of the Federation.
