Welcome to the home page of the Dorset and Wilts Society of RFU Referees. The Society is a member of the Wessex Federation of Referee Societies and through the Federation is also a member of the Rugby Football Union. In addition the Society is affiliated to the Dorset and Wilts R.F.U.
The Society appoints referees to all matches under the jurisdiction of the Dorset and Wilts R.F.U. and is therefore responsible for all matters relating to officiating in the two Counties, including instruction, training and grading.
The Society publishes a regular Newsletter - The Whistling Bustard. You can find the latest edition by clicking on the society's website.
Shown here is Dorset Referee Geoff Worrall presenting the Bob Stock Trophy to Tim Rose of North Dorset RFC. The trophy is awarded annually to the Club who, in the opinion of visiting referees, does most to foster good relations with the Referees' Society and has been won by North Dorset for the third year running.
