The Future
As of Jan 10-
Many people ask what the future holds for Devonport Services ground, the famous Rectory Field.
Who knows? The plan of the moment is for us to be at The Rectory season 10~11 and then move to the Keyham pitch.
MOD have put up lights at Keyham and plan a small stand, then they have to get rid of the wooden bijou club house and replace it with a new one.
The breeze has now blown in a story that they are going to sell the Goshen centre and the pitch at Keyham, where then, Bull point?
Meanwhile, at The Rectory the main stand lies idle. Despite the fact that Torquay have a venerable wooden stand ours has been put out of use due to fire regulations regarding wooden stands and an assortment of other small details. In the mean time in the real world we play on.
