Season 2011 - 2012
Cumbria Referees Society (An amalgamation of Cumberland and Furness Referees Societies) has been refereeing both in and out of county since its formation in 1921. Over the years we have had Referees and Touch Judges who have gone on to officiate at high levels of the game. As a Society we have about 35 Referees, 5 Referee Advisors and several Club Advisors who cover all the games in our rather large county. For the last ten years or so we have been part of The Federation of the North Referees, which as well as our selves include Northumbria and Durham Societies, this with the help of combined expertise has formulated a structure where Cumbrian referees can progress to higher levels in the game.
