Volunteering
‘The aim of the Volunteering workshop will be to develop a Club Volunteer Action plan focussing on specific club needs, identify existing events through the Rugby Calendar to support Volunteer activities such as Rugby Force, summer touch, Young Volunteer programmes and sharing Models of Good Practise. The day will be ideal for Club Volunteer Coordinators or Club Chairman; Clubs will also be signposted to RFU resources available to them on Recruitment, Retention and Recognition of Volunteers.’
Funding & Facilities
“The funding and facilities workshop will provide advice to clubs that are looking to improve the facilities at their club. Information on RFF and RFU grant programmes will be covered and particular attention will be paid to support clubs that may wish to apply to one of the new Olympic Legacy funding opportunities; ‘Inspired Facilities’ or ‘Protecting Playing Fields”
Referee Workshop
The aim of the Referee workshop is to assist clubs to identify their refereeing needs. Whilst Club Referee Coordinators (CRefCs) are certainly encouraged to attend, other members with an interesting in the support and development of officiating at their Clubs would be most welcome. As well as exploring opportunities for the Club to host a Midi/Mini or Entry Level Referee Award, other forms of refereeing support and development can be explored:
• Visits on a Sunday morning or afternoon to watch Club Referees and to provide positive feedback and encouragement
• Resources to help develop and support Club Referees
• Tailored training for your Club’s needs (practical or theory)
• Support for the Club Referee Coordinator
• Opportunities to host a Referee Education session
Coaching Workshop
“The aim of the Coaching workshop is to help clubs with planning and satisfying their club coaching and Coach’s needs. The discussion will also look at the new Award course structure that will take effect from the end of January onwards including a new Level 1 and Level 2 course alongside the launch of the RFU’s Coach Licensing scheme. All Club Coaching Coordinators should attend and the workshop would undoubtedly benefit Directors of Rugby.”
