£15 per person - Funding now available for up to 5 candidates per Club
This is the old 'child protection course' and as a consequence is extremely important for all coaches and volunteers within your club to attend.
This course is particularly important for clubs which already have or are working towards the RFU Seal of Approval Award both Mini and Youth and Whole Club. This will ensure that you maintain your status as a SoA Club and is a
good way to succession plan due to turnover of individuals at clubs.
One of the criteria of the Seal of Approval Process is;
"7.14 - Clubs to have at least one member of each age group coaching and management team who has undertaken a
Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Rugby Union course."
Although this is important for Seal of Approval Clubs it is also vital that any clubs with Young Players (17 and Below, which
includes many Senior Players) attend this course.
I draw attention to the fact that the delegate application form must reach this office on the address below, along with payment
of £15 per candidate (Payable to RFDL or Rugby Football Development Ltd) a minimum of 21 days prior to the course taking
place to reserve your place or places. The courses along with closing dates to have information to the Cumbria RU Office are
shown below.
