The Brian Ashton Rugby Academy will focus on the approaches and practice methods which have made Brian the foremost coach of enterprising and attacking rugby in the world. He will emphasise skill, judgment and enterprise and much of the course will focus upon games designed to develop and refine these qualities. Much of this material comes directly from that which Brian designed for the RFU National Academy at Bath University, which produced a generation of England’s most creative young players.
Every player will be coached by Brian himself every day

• Preparing for a skill based game
• Creative play
• Developing an attacking game
• Transition rugby: attacking from the turnover
• Effective defence
• The five minute practice challenge
• The place of kicking in the attacking game
• Integrating skill development with game play
• Games to develop skill and understanding
• Back to street games
