Calne Rugby 
Calne's 1st XV is the flagship of our rugby club and the team has now established itself as one of the top teams in the Dorset & Wilts divisions. The league and three cup competitions are taken very seriously, so positions in the squad are always keenly contested.

Selection is based on attendance to training and then followed by ability. The selectors are always on the lookout for new talent and keep a keen eye on the 2nd XV, as well monitoring how people perform during training.
Calne RFC has ambitions, but recognises that it needs to recruit more players especially the big hitting, line breaking, ball carrying type. Centers, Half Backs, Back Row, Props and Locks are all needed for the start of the 2006/07 season.
One thing to remember about Calne's 1st XV is that places are never fixed in stone! Impress the selectors and you're in! So why play 2nd or 3rd team rugby for anyone else? If you think you've got it then show us.
