THE HEALES HAVE TRIES!!!
Supermarine
3 - 50
Bradford on Avon
The Heale brothers scored half of BoA's points between them as Bradford notched up another impressive away win leaving them 2nd in the table. Again BoA arrived in plenty of time which assured them of ample preparation and able to go into the game with confidence.
A couple of enforced changes saw Chris Heale return from Uni to deputise for Ginger Powell in the 2nd row and with Dan Tozer in Dublin to audition for Riverdance, Kenny came in at No 6 with Dave George switching to No 8.
Supermarine started well and gained the first points from a penalty after BoA were penalised for offside at a ruck. BoA pack started to get to grips with the big Supermarine eight and following a great chip from Jase 'Teflon' Wheatley, Paul Gerrish touched down for try converted by Phil Heale. BoA then scored from a trademark catch and drive from a lineout which saw Chris Heale crashing over for a deserved try. Phil Heale then anticipated well to latch-on to an interception and race under the posts for a try converted by himself.
At the break the team saw that patience would be the key as Dave George insisted that BoA's fitness would come through. This was the case with BoA running in several tries in the last 30 minutes as Supermarine began to tire. Kenny picked up from a ruck and raced 30 meters to score, converted by Heale. Then Chris Heale drove over from 10 meters for his second converted by his brother. The backs got in on the act with centres Tom Monks and Mike Burton both finishing following superb approach work. Rob Thomas, on for George, scored following a break with an outrageous sidestep.
Coach Dave George was satisfied with his side's performance '' We showed patience and maturity resulting in a solid all round performance. We hope to continue the form in the run up to Christmas with the squad training well and showing great team spirit during games''
