MATCH REPORTS
Our match reports are written by Roger Phillips - he of the golden pen, silver tongue and loquatious language.
Roger came to rugby late, having previously dallied with boxing, semi-professional football and then local cricket. He further suffers from the misfortune of being a lifelong West Ham FC fan but now ,living 300 miles away in Northumberland, he is protected by distance from some of the pain (Although he does sneak away from rugby once a season to watch 'The Hammers' at St. James' Park - Roger is normally a guest of West Ham in recognition of his former youth work for the club).
Roger's reports are eloquent and accurate although the reader has to be well versed in irony and good quality literature for them to be fully understood and appreciated.. He is an extremely objective and fair reporter so that if his reports say something happened a certain way you can be pretty sure that it did.
