Formed in 1971, our catchment area covers the small market town of Bingham and surrounding villages.
We run a 1st XV, Occasional Vets and are trying to get Junior XV side. The senior team currently playing in the Nottinghamshire Security Plus Pennant. After 2 very sucessful seasons, 2008/09 will see us playing in Pennant league 3.
We train on a Tuesday Night at the club from 7:15pm until 9:00ish followed by a drink and a chat in the clubhouse.
Facilities include: Club House with full bar & kitchen, 1st and 2nd XV pitches, a separate dedicated floodlit training area.
Any player new to the area or already in the area and simply wants to come down and join in is most welcome; we are an open and friendly club and want to expand and build on 2 successful seasons: 2006 - 07 season - we were winners of Security Plus Pennant league 5 and 2007 - 08 where we were runners up in Pennant league 4, semi finalists of the NLD Vase & Runner up in Notts Junior Cup amassing 853 pts and scoring 129 tries. See our fixtures & results page for details. We would like to be able to strengthen our squad, be able to field a 2nd XV and provide opportunities for our younger members. Those with previous playing experience at a higher level are most welcome and your skills & knowledge will be gratefully received.
We were fortunate enough during 2004 to be included on the countrywide tour of the World Cup - see picture below - and pride ourselves on being a friendly, family club encouraging enjoyment of the game and all that comes with it. We organise numerous social events throughout the year, including the now famous:
Bingham Beer Festival
The Festival is scheduled to tie in with the Last Friday & Saturday weekend of the Six Nations
so games can be watched whilst sampling.
Serious or social, give us a call and we will see you on Tuesday night & match days - supporters are always welcome on the touchline and to join in the banter in the clubhouse afterwards.
