 Ampthill dominated all areas of this final scoring ten tries, five in each half, for a convincing victory.
Ben Macmillan, Will Davies & Ed Stallwood produced a very solid scrum and were always in the thick of the action, Dan Cheadle and Eamon Kissane dominated the line outs. Rhys Seaborne and Stuart Palmer were industrious flankers and at Number 8, Phil Wright was again outstanding.
At scrum half Joe Tidd produced a mature performance and Will Wade had his best game of the season at 10 introducing plenty of variety to the back division. Is there a better centre partnership than Morgan Phillips and Tom Chellew ? Every time they got the ball they posed a huge threat. On the wings, Ollie Jones and Dean Adamson were always hungry for work and at full back George Sismey - Durrant always looked dangerous when entering the line.
Rugby is a team game and a strong squad is very important. The seven replacements, Rory Taylor, Mark Woodward, Callum Blumire, Matt Tilley, Josh Peacock, Josh Graham and Josh Hughes, all made a significant impact demonstrating a resolute defence and a desire to contribute effectively to attacks at every opportunity.
