Oliver Wills |

 Hooker Oliver Wills has joined Ampthill for the 2008/9 season.
Oliver, 26, was introduced to rugby while at Bedford Modern where he represented the school from age 13, he also turned out for Olney mini & youth.
On leaving school Oliver spent 18 months playing rugby in New Zealand where he played for Wesley College and Pukekohe culminating in appearances in the NPC U19 championship.
On his return Oliver took a break from rugby before joing Bedford Athletic where he played for four years. He has been a member of the East Midlands senior squad for the last three years.
His best rugby memory is running out at a packed Eden Park to play a curtain raiser before an Auckland v Canterbury game and his worst, not scoring when his side won a game 160-0!
Oliver is a commercial property surveyor.

 Prop Simon Emms has joined Ampthill for the 2008/9 season.
Simon, 33, born in Carmarthen, needs little introduction having played for Bristol, Llanelli, Bath, Gloucester, Wasps and most recently Northampton Saints.
He retired from professional rugby at the end of last season to further his business career.

 Flanker Greg Mathers has returned to Ampthill for the 2008/9 season.
Greg, played alongside Shane in the 2007 Bedford Blues National Colts Cup winning side.

Andrew Rees |
| |
 Prop Andrew Rees has joined Ampthill for the 2008/9 season.
Andrew, 32, born in Neath, first played rugby at Dwr-Y-Felin school before representing Neath, West Glamorgan and Welsh Schools at U16.
In addition to his selection for Wales Youth, Andrew has played for Resolven, Neath, Bridgend, Carmathen Quins and most recently Bonymaen. He has also appeared for the Penguins when aged 21.

Shane Allen |
| |
 Flanker Shane Allen has returned to Ampthill for the 2008/9 season.
Shane, a product of the Ampthill Youth system, was captain of the 2008 Bedford Blues National Colts Cup winning side.
He was a key member of the Ampthill team which defeated Loughborough Students, then undefeated and leading Midlands 1, in the third round of the EDF Intermediate Cup last season.

Sam Richbell |
| |
 Flanker Sam Richbell, 28, 6'4" (1.93m), 17st10lbs (114kg), has joined the Ampthill 1stXV squad for season 08/09.
Sam was educated at Wellingborough School & Leeds University where he read Sports Science.
He played Union for Wellingborough 1stXV and East Midlands at U16 before converting to League at Leeds where he played for their BUSA 1st XIII, Yorkshire, North of England and Great Britain Students.
Sam spent a year with Batley Bulldogs before joining Bedford Tigers in '03 becoming captain in '07 and and coach in '08. He has also played for East of England, South of England and England Lionhearts.
Sam returned to UNion with Dunstable for season 06/07 and regards running out on the pitch at Twickenham for the Intermediate Cup final as his greatest rugby memory.
He combines his career as a personal trainer with working with kids with behavioural issues in schools where he coaches boxing, a sport which requires ultimate self discipline.
