Bruce Thomas |

Fly Half Bruce Thomas, 26, has joined the senior squad for 2007 from Bedford Athletic
Bruce joined Worcester at the age of 6 where he played for all their age groups from U8 through to U21 by which time he was a member of their newly instituted academy.
He studied for a Sports Science & Management degree at Loughborough where he was a member of their BUSA championship winning rugby league side.
After university Bruce took a year out before joining Bedford Athletic in 2004, having moved to Lidlington he has joined Ampthill because his opportunities for regular 1stXV rugby at the Ath were limited.

Matt Loon |

A 6'3" wing, Mattthew Loon, 19, has joined the senior squad for 2007
Matt began his rugby career at Wallasey U9s and played for his school, Wirral Grammar where he represented Cheshire at U16. He played for Bedford Colts and Bedford University where he is studying Sports Science & P.E. in 2005 before breaking his right leg twice.
Matt counts the second break as his worst memory in rugby as it resulted in him being out for two years!, whereas the opposite is true of his school U18 side's victory over Birkenhead in the Cheshire Schools cup final.
Back in training under the supervision of Mick Dwyer, Ampthill's physio, Matt is expected to be fit for 1stXV rugby before Christmas |

JJ Raven |
| |
Centre Jonathan James (JJ) Raven, 21, has joined the senior squad as newly promoted Ampthill RUFC step up to the Midlands 2 league in 2007.
While at school at Woodbridge, Suffolk JJ played for his school 1stXV, Suffolk (U15-U18), Eastern Counties (U15-U18), London and South East (U18) and England Clubs at U20. He was a member of Saints Academy in '02 and played for Bedford Academy ('03-'05) as well as Bedford 2ndXV. In '06 he joined Cambridge in National 2 where his opportunities were limited due to injury.
JJ regards his knee injury against Leeds in '03 and the subsequent 12 months of reconstruction and rehabilitation as his worst and his try for L&SE against Wales U18 as his best rugby moment.
JJ is in his final year at the University of Bedford where he is studying Sports & Exercise Science and is looking forward to contributing to the 1stXV squad in the coming season. |

Joe Greenwood |

Flanker Joe Greenwood, 23, has joined the senior squad as newly promoted Ampthill RUFC step up to the Midlands 2 league in 2007.
Joe played for Ampthill mini & youth sides from the age of 4 to 15. represented East Midlands and Midlands at various age groups, was a member of Saints Academy before joining Sale while at university where he played for the Jets in the Guinness 'A' league before going on to gain an MSc in Land Architecture from Magdalen College, Oxford University.
Single, Joe is looking forward to the challenges facing the 1stXV squad next season. |

Michael Hollister |

Hooker Michael Hollister, 21, has joined the senior squad as newly promoted Ampthill RUFC step up to the Midlands 2 league in 2007.
While at school at Harlington Upper Michael played for Ampthill youth sides up to U14, East Midlands at U16, U18 & U20 and Midlands at U18 as well as Bedford Colts & 2ndXV.
While studying at Hartpury College he played for South of England Students, South (of England) and England Lionhearts at rugby league.
Single, Michael is relishing the challenges facing the 1stXV squad next season. |

Prop/Hooker Richard Wilkinson, 21, has re-joined the senior squad as newly promoted Ampthill RUFC step up to the Midlands 2 league in 2007.
While at school at Harlington Upper Richard played for Ampthill youth sides at U12-U15, Bedford Colts, East Midlands, Midlands & England at U18.
He studied for a degree in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff and played for UWIC at 1stXV level.
Single, Richard's career high was running out in an England shirt and his career low was a seriously broken arm. He is looking forward to meeting the challenges facing the 1stXV squad.

Phil Lane Comes Home |

Flanker Phil Lane, who is pictured with head coach Alan Brown, became the first signing for the 07/08 season 1stXV squad.
A key member of the Luton side which gained promotion to the national leagues in 06/07, Phil has returned to his rugby roots.
A product of Ampthill's mini & youth system Phil left school to join the Army in 1996 where he played for their U20 side and has also represented East Midlands in the county championship.
Single, but soon to be married, Phil is looking forward to the challenge of next season. |
